So today we've got some incredible news about a couple of new features coming to the Apple iPhone 13 we've also got a little bit of information on the new folding phone from apple as well before we get started though please like the video if you're a fan of apple and let me know down in the comments what country you're actually watching today's video from but the first story of the day is about apple's folding phone prototype we had news of a clamshell fold as well as a more standard folding type early on but many were disappointed with the news that it would actually be two displays on each side and not really a folding phone as such john Prosser has given some information however that says that there is a prototype with a flexible OLED display.
iOS 13 is coming to the following devices:
that's manufactured by samsung now john prosser also advises that his sources aren't certain on how permanent this decision is and it's simply just in testing but there is a prototype so this means that we could see something from apple in the future and that they are at least showing some interest in the folding market he also advises that they're developing their own protective film which is currently known as chemically strengthened ceramic shield folding glass now there's no doubt that this name may change over time and apple tend to call their inventions exciting things as they're great with their marketing one thing is for sure though and that's until it's fully ready and able to provide the best user experience possible then apple just won't be releasing it next up we've got more news of touch id coming to the apple iphone 13 and this is something that i'm personally very happy about we initially thought this as apple started including the questions in their surveys to consumers and a new report from bloomberg has stated that apple will be revisiting touch id for the iphone 13 and it's most likely going to be an in-display fingerprint scanner that also does not add any extra size to the frame now this is a no-brainer really as in-display fingerprint technology is working incredibly well now also given current times where mass are causing issues for face id it's also a much more convenient option and having touch id on top of an already exceptional face id biometrics is just giving the users much more option.
now next up we've got news of an incredible upgrade to the iPhone 13 and it's the first time we're hearing this information according to reliable analyst ming chi Kuo apple is aggressively testing a mini version of vapor chamber cooling that could if successful make its way to the iPhone 13. vapor chamber cooling works by evaporating liquid with the heat from the internals and then spreads it across the whole of the phone to better dissipate the heat now this of course doesn't just mean that your phone's going to be cooler but it means the performance is going to be better when the chipset gets too hot it will of course reduce performance to prevent overheating so the vapor chamber will allow the a15 to work much harder before getting to these higher temperatures which of course means better performance well this won't be too advantageous for everyone for the people into heavy productivity apps or gaming then this is going to be incredible now as i keep saying though we are still at earlier stages of development so while we hear things that could be true it doesn't necessarily mean that it will make the final product of course for those who want more detail on the whole of the iPhone 13 series we're now going to run through the specs design and expected pricing for my regular viewers you guys have already seen this.
so just jump onto the next video but if you are new here then don't forget to hit subscribe and we're going to get right into it so to start with we've got the entry-level model the apple iPhone 13 minis are expected to be a 5.4-inch iPhone with an OLED super retina display it's expected to have a resolution of 2340x1080 and this is going to give us 465 pixels per inch it's very unlikely for high refresh rates on the lower models to expect a 60 Hz display but we should be seeing this shorter notch with apple continuing to prove that huge amounts of ram are just not required it should be equipped with four gigs of ram and a choice of 64 128 or 256 storage we're expecting another aluminum frame to reduce the cost although again the body should be looking similar to that of the pros and the iPhone 13 mini is going to come with dual cameras on the rear consisting of a 12-megapixel wide-angle and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and it will of course ship with ios 15. for those that want the
